Don Dyrness named 2020 Builder of the Year
Donald J. Dyrness, owner of Main Street Custom Homes & Remodeling, LLC, named 2020 Builder of the Year
The award was presented to Mr. Dyrness during the Metropolitan Builders & Contractors Association of New Jersey Installation of 2021 Officers & Directors held virtually this year via ZOOM on Thursday, December 10th.
According to the organization, this award is bestowed each year to recognize one MetroBCA builder member out of approximately 100 contenders who can always be counted on to help further the goals and objectives of the building industry.
“I am passionate about building beautiful homes and am honored to be recognized by my peers, the leaders in the New Jersey home building industry,” said Mr. Dyrness.
This past July, Mr. Dyrness was invited by Michael Stanzilis, Vice President of Membership and Business Development of the Morris County Chamber of Commerce, to participate in the Morris County COVID-19 Recovery Task Force. This group of leaders from various segments of Morris County including government, health, education, labor, social services, and others was formed to share ideas and develop strategies to help local businesses and the community recover from the economic effects of the current health crisis.
Mr. Dyrness became involved in the construction industry at an early age, helping his father Dan Dyrness on job sites and learning the trade from the ground up. Upon earning his degree in chemical engineering, Don returned to his roots, building a career constructing custom homes, additions and remodeling projects for over 30 years.
Main Street Custom Homes & Remodeling, LLC (MSCH&R), based in Succasunna, NJ, designs and builds high quality, single-family residences, additions, remodeling projects and light commercial jobs. MSCH&R is led by long-time Succasunna, NJ residents, father and son team, Daniel & Donald Dyrness, who share a long history of constructing award winning projects together.
